Mt. Matutum is home to the B'laan Indigenous Peoples who have slowly through the years migrated to different mountains in South Cotabato . The B'laans still maintain their traditional ways of living and up to now practice natural farming. Matutum arabica was first introduced and popularized in 2009 when it was exclusively used by the Travel Cafe project of the Department of Tourism. The B’laan tribe is peace loving, quiet and has already adopted some Christian ways and values. Mysore Arabica is only found in Mt. Matutum.
